Erik Benink, MD, Named Chief Medical Officer at Medical City Arlington
Eric Benink, MD, MBA, FAAEM, has been named Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Medical City Arlington.
Dr. Benink joins Medical City Arlington from Memphis, Tennessee, where he served as CMO at Regional One Health since 2014. He has also been CMO at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, Illinois and OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois.
Specializing in emergency medicine, Dr. Benink’s experience spans more than 20 years. He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Gulf War. He was a clinical instructor and assistant professor for the emergency medicine residency program at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and held faculty positions at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria and Rockford campuses. His clinical expertise has been shared at numerous lectures on topics as varied as sports injuries, trauma in pregnancy and assessing the critically ill patient.
Dr. Benink is a graduate of Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois and completed his residency at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He also earned an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
